The people who grow vines and olives on the slopes of an active volcano
Earlier this year there were a series of eruptions from Etna, Europe’s most active volcano - it’s the latest episode of many previous eruptions on Sicily. The stories of people who work on the slopes of Etna were featured two years ago in Eating on Etna, for the Food Chain, a BBC World Service series about way that Etna contributes to the quality of the wine and produce of the region. The documentary was presented by Ben Spencer, director of the Etna Wine School - Ben has since been back to film Etna’s latest eruptions from the village of Milo .
