Phil Reevell

I make radio documentaries and podcasts - most recently for BBC Radio 4 with How Real is the Existential Threat from AI? In the past year I’ve produced across a range of subjects for the BBC World Service - from the global nuclear threat, to the future of oil, and life expectancy in America.

I’m an honorary professor at Stirling University where I teach podcast production and I’ve developed podcasts including The Global Jigsaw for BBC Monitoring and Take on Tomorrow for PwC.

On this site I’ve featured some of my most memorable projects across a range of genres - in-depth reporting of America’s opioid epidemic; the UK elections of 2017 and 2019; a BBC Food Chain about the people who produce wine and olive oil on the slopes of Etna in Sicily; an Archive Hour recalling the women war reporters at D-Day 1940.

I’ve run my own independent production company, responsible for executive producing long-running series - a weekly discussion about the Trump Presidency; the future of the US dollar; and Feedback for Radio 4.

I’ve edited magazines, written weekly columns, and once launched a TV channel for Manchester.
